Rental prices rise sharply in Türkiye

New data from OECD shows Türkiye’s rental price index rose about 77.6% in 2025. It had the highest rental index among 29 countries compared.

Türkiye’s annual rental price index reached its highest level since records began in 1996 with the 2025 reading.

Türkiye’s central bank said backward-indexed rents helped keep services inflation elevated, according to its Inflation Report.

Since 2016, Türkiye’s rental price index has risen 1,337.4%, compared with a 19.2% increase in the European Union benchmark over the same period.
