Standardised inflows of permanent-type migrants

This database provides annual estimates of permanent migration inflows to OECD countries by category of migration. The estimates are mainly based on the number of newly granted permits/visas issued to foreign citizens, provided by NSOs or Ministerial statistical services.New permanent migrants are classified into 5 categories of migration depending on the grounds for approval of their permit/visa (labour, accompanying family of workers, family reunification, humanitarian reasons and other national cases). In addition, the database provides annual estimates of the number of individuals who migrated long-term under a free-mobility agreement based on alternative sources.
