Goods and passenger train traffic performance

Train traffic performance measures the distance actually run by trains on the reporting country’s rail network, irrespective of load. It is expressed in thousand train‑kilometres and encompasses total train movements, with separate series for goods trains and passenger trains, enabling analysis of rail traffic activity independently of tonnes carried or passengers transported.
