Social protection receipts measure the income of social protection systems from the various institutional sectors. They cover financial flows such as contributions, taxes and other income received from corporations, general government, social security funds, households, non-profit institutions serving households and the rest of the world. Amounts are recorded in monetary units, per inhabitant values and as shares of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) or total receipts, in current and constant prices and in purchasing power standards.
