How to connect Monitly to Claude

Monitly gives Claude read-only access to official statistics (100,000+ datasets for 150+ countries from Eurostat, OECD, the World Bank, the IMF, WHO and national statistics offices). Every number comes with its source, dataset and period.

Server URL

https://monit.ly/api/mcp/public

No sign-in is needed: the server is public and read-only.

Steps

  1. In Claude (web, desktop or mobile) open Settings → Connectors and choose Browse connectors. Search for Monitly and click Connect.
  2. Alternatively choose Add custom connector, name it Monitly and paste https://monit.ly/api/mcp/public.
  3. In a chat, open the + menu → Connectors and make sure Monitly is switched on.
  • On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add the connector in Organization settings first.
  • Connectors added on the web are also available in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps.

Cost and limits

Monitly's public MCP server is free and needs no account or API key. A fair-use limit of 300 requests per user per day applies.

The tools are read-only: search_catalog, inspect_dataset, get_dataset and get_series. See the MCP documentation for parameters, or the GitHub repository.
