Region Pomorskie
Spending on long-lived assets for environmental protection reached PLN 1.899 billion in 2025, up 166% from PLN 713.9 million. It was the highest reading in a series that begins in 1999.
Pomorskie
Pomorskie’s fixed-asset outlays for environmental protection reached 1,899,376.2 thousand PLN in 2025. The total more than doubled from 713,897.3 thousand PLN and was the highest in a series beginning in 1999.
Africa
The IMF feed puts Africa’s agricultural nitrous oxide reading at 77.12 in the first quarter of 2025, the highest in a series running from 2010. Conflicting unit metadata means the unusually large final step needs verification before it is treated as a physical increase in emissions.
Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA)
The seasonally adjusted nitrous oxide reading for agriculture, forestry and fishing rose from 59.32% in Q4 2024 to 65.37% in Q1 2025, a 6.05-point increase and the highest result in data dating to Q1 2010. Conflicting unit labels and the unusually sharp break mean it should not yet be treated as proof of a real emissions jump.
Subregion Oświęcimski
Oświęcimski recorded 42.2 injury or fatality accidents per 100,000 residents in 2025, down from 52.6 in 2024 and the lowest rate in data going back to 2011. The raw total fell to 222 accidents from 278.
Americas
FAO’s 2025 series puts the Americas at 3,848,643.33 thousand hectares of land, 0.46% below 2020 and the lowest reading since observations begin in 1990. But the catalog labels the indicator as forest area’s share of land while the selected series is total land area, making this a data-quality question rather than evidence that the same area of forest disappeared.
Śląskie
Trams in traffic accounted for 73% of Śląskie’s inventory in 2025, up from 54% a year earlier. That was the highest share in a Statistics Poland series beginning in 2009.
Italy
Italy reported 7,687,036 bed places in tourist accommodation in 2025, 39.8% more than in 2024. The jump mainly reflects a wider official count that now routinely captures private accommodation, including short-term rentals.
Lithuania
Freight and passenger trains logged 21,418 thousand train-kilometres in 2025, up 99.18% from 10,753 thousand in 2024 and the highest reading in Eurostat’s series beginning in 2004. The break is too abrupt to assume that travel or freight demand increased at the same rate.
Cyprus
Residents’ nights at Cyprus’s hotels, short-stay properties and campsites were 36.81% lower than a year earlier in March, putting the country last among 36 European markets. The reversal came alongside a wider, geopolitically driven disruption to the island’s tourism trade.
Luxembourg
The country counted 35,753 bed places in 2025, down 6,298 from 2023 and the lowest reading since the series began in 2015. Because the supplied series has no 2024 observation, this is not a one-year change.
Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan recorded 15,693.4 million tonne-kilometres of international waterway freight transport in 2025, up 125.4% from 2024. It was the highest reading in an OECD series dating to 1994.
Poland
Poland’s official series lists 17 postal operators serving local areas in 2025, down from 50 in 2024. The government says the decline largely reflects an exemption that removed many small operators from full reporting, not a comparable collapse in the market.
